Who we are and why we are organizing this conference

We are a group of master students and doctoral students from the fields of law and social science diversity research at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. We have come together to analyze and address sociological problems in law.

We want law - as an applied science - not to be viewed in isolation from the reality of life and strive for an interdisciplinary discourse in order to critically question the law and its subsequent application.

At the conference, we will focus on postcolonialism, racism and diversity categories in law. All people are cordially invited to join us in advancing this discourse, regardless of their professional background.
